Home for a visit from Derby, England, the Petrillo family talk about life in Europe, and Bob spoke a message from the Word.
Read Hebrews 10:19-25."What if we lived each day with the calling of maturity?"
This passage is full of encouraging words: togetherness, encourage, draw near, faithful, hope, confidence, hold fast, boldness, hold fast, exhort, forgiveness, access, unswerving. We are able to encourage each other to do good! How can we do this? Pray, Disciple/Teach, Serve, Fellowship, Be authentically holy, Accept others with love.
Continue to meet with each other as the day of the Lord approaches. Large gatherings are wonderful, but it's in the smaller groups that friendships form and the opportunity to spur one another towards love and good deeds can take place. Home groups, Northeast House Of Prayer, Youth events, and One-on-one meetings are some examples of smaller group settings.
Spiritual gifts are used to encourage the Body of Christ; this means giving to the many and the few. Your gift is not only for the masses. Be desirous of being a leader of few. God will use you to do a different type of work. Look for ways to lead by example. Let nothing hold you back. Boldness and confidence comes when your conscience is clear. This is maturity.
Rely on God to show you how you can encourage others in love and spur them on to good deeds.
